Terms and Conditions

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Rahul Sehjal ("we", "us"), the maker of SneakyNotes. They cover downloading, trying, buying and using the SneakyNotes app and using sneakynotes.com. By installing or buying SneakyNotes, you agree to them.

2. Your licence

When you buy SneakyNotes, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it on computers you own or control, for personal or work use. The licence doesn't expire. Each licence key is for one person; the number of computers it can be active on at the same time is shown at checkout.

SneakyNotes is licensed to you, not sold. We keep all rights in the app, its name, its logo and its design.

3. The free trial

You can use every feature of SneakyNotes free for 7 days. After the trial, the app becomes read-only until you add a licence key: your notes stay visible, searchable and exportable, but you can't edit them or add new ones.

4. Buying

Orders are processed by Dodo Payments, our reseller and merchant of record. Dodo Payments takes the payment, handles sales tax and issues your receipt, and its terms of sale apply to the payment itself. Prices are shown on our website in US dollars; taxes may be added at checkout depending on where you live.

After you pay, your licence key is sent to the email address you gave at checkout. Paste it into SneakyNotes under Settings → Licence.

5. No refunds

SneakyNotes comes with a free trial of every feature for 7 days, so you can make sure it works for you before you pay. Because of that, all sales are final and we don't offer refunds.

If something goes wrong with your purchase or your licence key, email contact@sneakynotes.com and we'll help put it right. This doesn't limit any rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.

6. Updates and support

We may release updates that fix problems or add features. Updates for the version you bought are included at no extra cost. We can't promise a specific feature or that updates will continue forever, and we may change or stop parts of the app.

7. Your notes

Everything you write in SneakyNotes belongs to you. It's stored on your own computer, and we have no access to it. Because your notes live only on your PC, please keep backups: you can export them as Markdown or JSON at any time.

8. What you may not do

• Share, sell or publish your licence key, or let others use it.
• Get around the licence check or the trial, or help others do so.
• Copy, resell or redistribute the app, or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows this despite these terms.
• Use SneakyNotes for anything illegal.

9. No warranty

We work hard to make SneakyNotes reliable, but it's provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise that it will be free of errors or work without interruption on every computer.

10. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of SneakyNotes. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. Some countries don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.

11. Ending the licence

You can stop using SneakyNotes and uninstall it at any time. If you break these terms, your licence ends and you must stop using the app. Sections 7 to 10 still apply after that.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll post them here and change the date at the top. The terms in place when you bought your licence continue to apply to that purchase, unless you agree to new ones.
